"Stéphane Guillaume Quartet" project
"STÉPHANE GUILLAUME QUARTET"
Stéphane GUILLAUME: Saxophones, flutes, clarinets
Frédéric FAVAREL: Guitar
Marc BURONFOSSE: Double bass
Antoine BANVILLE: Drums
Reunited after recording an album in 2003, this quartet continues to be a veritable laboratory of creativity. For all these years, and four albums recorded together, our human and musical complicity has endured, and I like knowing that there's a kind of 'home' where I can try out new compositions, new ideas, or simply continue to defend the music we've recorded together over several decades.

Now a sought-after sideman, he went on to take part in numerous projects, notably alongside Patrice Caratini, Claude Nougaro, Didier Lockwood, the Paris Jazz Big Band, Peter Erskine, Vince Mendoza and others.
Of course, he has not neglected his career as a leader and composer, releasing 5 albums under his own name.

Accompanist in France and abroad for various jazz conductors and soloists (Carine Bonnefoy, Fabrice Alleman, Laurent Cugny, Stéphane Guillaume, Frédéric Monino, Tim Ries, Phil Abraham...) and featured on some twenty albums, Frédéric Favarel is also leader of his own projects, with six albums to his credit.

The Marc Buronfosse Sounds Quartet album ‘Face The Music’ was released on the Abalone Productions label on 17 April 2010. It received the ‘Révélation’ award from Jazz Magazine and was voted 4th best album of 2010 by the Académie du Jazz. His band ÆGN's debut album entitled ‘Aigaio’ recorded in Paros, Greece was released on 26 August 2016 by Abalone Productions / L'Autre Distribution, an electric project where he plays a Fender Bass VI exclusively.
