Just as "The Theory of Everything" is considered to be the Holy Grail of theories and consists of the reconciliation of the infinitely large and small, the collegiate creation of music by various musicians in different constellations is an exciting and complex principle.

SHIJIN proposes 8 interactive pieces, which are first developed as a duo, then completed by the other two musicians and finally put together in a complete format rarely used in jazz production: the "Concept Album", which combines electric and acoustic music as well as improvisation and composition; a particular conceptual framework where even contemporary music and traditional jazz can be reconciled..

What these three have in common is that they are among the most sought-after French musicians on the jazz scene. Claude Nougaro, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tania Maria, Vince Mendoza and Didier Lockwood are just a sample of the many artists who have surrounded themselves with their talents, on stage or in the studio.
Over the last twenty years or so, they have performed as sideman in a wide range of groups, while at the same time defending their respective projects as leaders.
The three of them have covered a wide range of original repertoires, but this time they have decided to reunite around Broadway songs, as a passionate return, a tribute to melody, or as new explorations of a language that has become more mature.
These 'Standards', the stuff of great musicals, resonate in a special way in the minds of each of them. Like actors, each of them draws on his or her personal relationship with this universe to nourish the common discourse and offer an original reinterpretation of the great arias of these musicals.
